Viraj Patel

I’ve had to move schools many times throughout my education. Having been through different school systems, I felt a lack of educational support. There were a few teachers who understood how I learned and helped me grasp the material outside of class and I still remember those teachers to this day. Outside of the impactful few, it felt as though I was fending for myself. Proper education and motivation was up to me. As difficult as it was, I realized how important and powerful education can be. It changed my life for the better. I was able to help others in education, become a good role model for friends and family, and work in my career path to start a life for myself.

I want to show students how important education can be without leaving the motivation and inspiration up to them. I think compassion and understanding draw out a student’s passion. I think discovering the way they learn is the first step to a better education and, ultimately, a better life.
